Mud Tug 2012
Get Ready to Get Dirty and Break Records
|
Phi Kappa Psi and Zeta Tau Alpha are proud to host the 17th annual Mud Tug event to support Hillside Family of Agencies, an organization that provides support, counseling, education, and housing services for children and families. This event has grown into a major RIT event with both Greek and Non-Greek Organizations. Mud Tug is a tug-of-war event in the mud; the winners win and the losers get dirty. This event includes three different brackets: men’s, women’s and co-ed with each team consisting of 10 starters and two alternates. The winners of each bracket will face each other in the Tug of Champions, determining a single Mud Tug XVII champion. There will be music, food, and lots of mud! The event will be held behind Gracie's. All proceeds raised will be donated to Hillside Family of Agencies. Last year's event broke the record for number of teams, attendants, and funds raised: 155 teams, over 2,000 people in attendance, and $11,000 raised! This year we have invited Guinness to come to the event as we attempt to break THE WORLD RECORD for largest tug of war competition. BUT, if we want to succeed we will need your help! Make sure to follow us on Twitter (@RITMudTug) for updates and join the conversation using #RITMudTug and #GetDirty. Stay tuned for more details regarding the event; until then-- GET READY TO GET DIRTY! Check out the rule changes for this year
